Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to join our team. As a NOC Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting our global connectivity services. The role requires a proactive individual who can respond promptly to incidents, perform first-level troubleshooting, and escalate issues as necessary.

  • A Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Engineering or Electronic and Communications Engineering or any IT related course is preferred.

  • With at least 1 year relevant work experience.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of IT systems component stack (e.g. network, hardware, OS, database, and application software) and experience supporting one or more of these areas in an operations capacity.

  • Understanding of IT Security concepts, best practices and market trend.

  • Ability to work shifts as assigned which may include weekends and ability to be available on an on-call basis.

  • Strong customer service abilities and ability to establish working relationships with team members.

  • Analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

  • Excellent communication, telephone & interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Network certifcation is a plus!

  • Serve as Team member on a 24x7 Network Operations Center (NOC).

  • Monitor and respond to global IT services including voice/data network, hardware, servers, and business applications with provided tools.

  • Manage incidents and escalate to the next Level of support.

  • Provide customer support issues/questions and escalate to the next level of support.

  • Provide first level troubleshooting for IT equipment, network devices, servers, and applications.

  • Responsible for supporting NOC and Service Desk function. Receive and respond to issues, inquiries and requests (calls, emails and chat) while also addressing connectivity and availability alerts for clients, business partners and service providers.

  • Process daily Command Center tasks, functions and batch processing.

  • Perform and assist with network maintenance and testing.

  • Notify customers, end users, affected partners, and service providers of outages and/or maintenance schedule via email, phone calls, SMS, and other communication media.

  • Maintain service trouble tickets, outage log and shift logs.

  • Generate service performance reports and network performance metrics to NOC management.

  • Contribute technical solutions to the Knowledge Base.

  • Perform initial triage on break/fix issues from clients, business partners and service providers.
